About

The M.S.C.A was formed in the early 70's to give the smaller Sports Car Clubs of South Australia the opportunity to compete at the Mallala Motorsport Racing Circuit and in Motorkhanas and Hillclimbs. With only a low number of members competing from each club, the individual members joined the M.S.C.A., allowing those drivers to compete in their cars. The Marque Sports Car Association is an association of 16 Clubs with the Motorsport Australia affiliation fee being paid by the MSCA, and the individual Clubs paying the M.S.C.A. an annual subscription fee.

Benefits of Circuit Sprints versus Track Days or Private Practice

  • Professionally run with manned flag points.

  • Accurately timed so you can measure improvements.

  • Cars grouped by lap times, less chance of being held up.

  • Cleaner laps due to grouping of cars (less traffic on track).

  • No passing under heavy braking or through corners.

  • Move up a group as your skill and car improve.

  • Driver training available at come and try events.

  • Helpful and friendly atmosphere, advice and tips freely given if required.

  • Reckless and dangerous behavior strictly controlled. Greater safety for you and your car.

  • Safety due to number of cars per group set at maximum 18 cars.

  • Vehicles can be double entered.

  • It is real competition with real published times, no guessing.

  • Compete against your personal best or pick someone else, more like qualifying than racing.
